Romantic Hotels in Coastal Virginia, Virginia

"Facility is average. The rooms are nice. The kitchen was dated. The miniature golf, fire pit and ping pong tables were operable. The outside pool was not. The basketball court did not have a ball and the tennis court did not have rackets or balls. The grounds are nicely maintained. The indoor pool was not heated even though it should have been. We alerted staff and they corrected the problem. The second outdoor pool was open. The outdoor hot tub was dirty. Be advised that they hold double the total amount for your stay. It takes 5-7 days to remove the hold. The staff were nice and helpful."

"We arrived at the hotel, check in was a little concerning. There was an issue with the terminal, and our card was inadvertently charged twice. We went back to the desk after going to our room and realizing the error. When we approached the gentleman at the desk (not the same individual which checked us in), he was adamant the error did not occur. Of course we weren't going to let that go. No worries, the next morning, we approached the manager with the same issue, and he quickly rectified the situation with an apology and refund for the overpayment. Breakfast was great, parking was secure and the hotel and grounds were clean."

"My grown daughter and stayed here for 2 nights in a 2 br 2 ba ground floor unit. It was the perfect accommodation for us. Clean, spacious, well appointed. The staff was so attentive. Highly recommend and will be staying here again!"

"We only stayed 1 night to attend a banquet being held locally, the room was quite large and easily accommodated 4 adult women with a sitting room which was an added bonus. The elevators were quite loud and felt shaky but worked fine. The front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful."

"Stay in the Williamsburg area often. Live 1/1/2 hours away. Was in need of another hotel due to the one I have been staying at getting shabby. Kingsgate was a very plesant experience. Nice staff, lovey rooms and very clean. Was most pleasant."
