"Love the room huge room comfortable 20 min from the beach ⛱️ can't beat it plus 8 min from foxwoods they provide shuttle bus till 12:45am can't beat that either can't wait to stay there again in the near future"

"• Substandard cleanliness — Overall cleanliness throughout the hotel was noticeably poor. • Broken elevators — One elevator was completely out of service, and the other was barely functioning. • Filthy stairs — Because the elevators didn’t work, we had to use stairs that were extremely dirty. • No real lobby — There was no actual lobby; only the breakfast area, and after breakfast all chairs were stacked, leaving zero seating for guests. • Misleading room photos — Pictures showed sofas and couches, but our room had no seating at all. • Door wouldn’t close — The room door only closed if you forced it hard, likely due to uneven flooring or misalignment; kids couldn’t close it. • Peeling wall surface — The wall near the ceiling had peeled off, giving the room a neglected appearance. • Broken commode seat — The toilet seat was broken, adding to the list of maintenance issues. • Unprofessional front desk — Staff handed us bath tissue instead of facial tissue. • Poor value for the price — The stay was far too expensive for the quality provided. • Brand disappointment — I previously had a good impression of La Quinta, but this location did not meet the brand’s standards."

"The hotel was conveniently located just 3 minutes from Deviant Donuts, 8 minutes from Treetop Adventure, and about 10 minutes from the famous Mystic Pizza. Lisa, who checked us in, was very nice, welcoming, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast included bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee, and juice. The breakfast area was clean and well-maintained. They even offered strawberry cream cheese, if that's your thing! Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. After checking out, we took advantage of the pool before heading out to explore more of Mystic. We had it all to ourselves for most of the time, with only one other family arriving just before we left. The pool area was clean and inviting. While the water didn't seem to be heated to the advertised 80 degrees, it was still comfortable enough. As someone who hates cold water, I only needed one quick dunk before I was fine. It helped that it was a sunny day, that’s for sure. One thing that stood out was that the hotel had beach balls floating in the pool for the kids to play with, which I've never seen before. There was also two cornhole game set up, and they had two large coolers filled with ice water available for guests, another thoughtful touch that I haven't encountered at other hotels. Overall, we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again with my son"
