Red Roof Inn Greencastle South – Cloverdale

6/10 Okay

"Not very well maintained in my opinion. Had maintanance isseus in our restroom. The room was not ready when we arrived late in the evening. Cheap per night cost; get what you paid for I suppose. Staff was very helpful and friendly, however. We booked this hotel after seeing 8.4 Expedia rating but that rating is incorrect I would have to say."

"there were cigarette burn marks all over the room, the smoke detector was disassembled, there were sticky traps along the baseboards for mice and bugs. It just didn't seem inviting, or clean. luckily I was only there for about 6 hours just enough to get a little sleep. I would definitely not want to stay there much longer than that. However the staff was very friendly and helpful"

"When we checked in, they said "no smoking and if you do, you will be fined $250." We do not smoke, but when we walked into our room, it smelled of smoke. I went to open the window (ground floor) and there were numerous cigarette butts outside the window, sitting there in the dirt. I told one of the house cleaners, as well as the front desk, and they both just shrugged their shoulders. As our stay continued (second of three nights), our room started to smell of sewage. By the time we left, it was unbearable (and thankfully we had a very early departure). We have traveled a lot and this is the worst hotel we have ever been in. Sadly, there are not a lot of choices in Cloverdale/Greencastle area."
