Top Cloghaun Hotel Reviews

The Ardilaun Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is in a quiet residential location but it is a short walk to Salthill Town. Breakfast had a good selection of food and the service was very good."

The Galmont

8/10 Good

"There is a pool and extensive workout facility - offsite. The toilet in our room did not flush properly - took a random number - between 2 and 4 - to get it to work. We made the hotel aware of the issue on checkout. Breakfast was reasonably priced for the selection and we availed ourselves of it all 3 days we stayed - without becoming tired of the variety. The location is quite near the bus and train station - selection criteria for us. The view of the lake was lovely and tranquil. The walk to the town for food and shopping and bar hopping was quite reasonable. They were redoing the grouting in the main lobby while we were there. Upgraded the tired appearance. If the maintenance staff could tour the property - ex: no knob to exit the last women's bathroom stall in the lobby should be noted and fixed. And the vanity lights did not match in our room (one white light, one yellow light) in addition to the poorly flushing toilet noted above... The hotel appears to be trying to upgrade and they are nearly there. A bit more attention to physical maintenance and a bit more quality control for housekeeping (no top sheet on the bed (asked and handed to us) - will get them a 4 star rating."

The Lane - Boutique Residence

8/10 Good

"Very good service (by waiting for me off the late Expressway Bus from Shannon Airport) and beautifully furnished room. I like the security involving the room key to get through the gate and the front door of the hotel. The only issue being the lack of a seat and table, with guests having to sit on the mattress, which is now showing signs of wear. Located close to the bus and railway stations, as well as nearby bars and cafes for breakfast."

The Hydro Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Beautiful place! Well accommodating! Couldn't say anything bad. They are soon to update and renovate the rooms on all levels over the next few years. When I come back I will definitely stay again. Beautiful property! Great location. Only 15 minutes from the Cliffs of Moher."
