"On a flying visit to Bergerac, we were looking for a quiet hotel to stay two nights. Luckily we came across La Carreterie. It was ideal for what we required and our host Thierry went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. Really enjoyable breakfast. Hotel has been renovated to a high quality quaint French country style hotel. Look forward to returning "

"We really enjoyed staying at Les secrets de Tifayne. The place is very pretty and quiet, hosts very friendly and helpful. We had a great room, full of character and clean. Breakfast was good and with plenty of local products. We also bought some of their wine. We will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend this place to anyone who desires a quiet place near Saint Emilion. It is definitely 10 out of 10"

"Creaking floor in an attic room wasn’t great. Nice view from the window, if you were very small. Tricky staircase to deal with and very low ceilings in corridor. Looked like a fabulous room was unoccupied on ground floor but we weren’t offered it (even for a price) Hostess nice and helpful but no English. Continental breakfast was nice. Great location"

"Considering it is a place out in the country, with no stores or cafes nearby. I believe there should be some coffee/tea and especially water in the rooms. It was a very warm few days (over 90 degrees F/30 degrees C) and there was no water provided, and there were no glasses in the bathroom. The internet does not work well and I had to teach an online class which could not happen. Do not expect to connect to the internet. "

"Had a great one night stay here. When we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly manner and were soon offered two bikes to explore the local area. Despite this being a bed and breakfast, we were offered an evening meal. The proprietors made changes to accommodate my pescatarian diet. "Celine's property and lodging is just great, very comfortable room and bed, strong wifi, separate shower and toilette rooms en suite, and a very nice continental breakfast featuring Celine's brioche, yogurt, and confitures. Security is strong and parking is right outside the house. On top of all that, Celine is a very friendly host and is both accommodating and full of information about the area. We found her by accident, and we look forward to staying with her again."
