8/10 Good

"Ruby on reception and we presume the duty manager was able to give us a very good welcome. Room was very good. Shower in the bath was not so easy to use due to the height and width of the bath ledge, but felt it added to the daily workout. Breakfast could have had a better selection but otherwise the cooked food was regularly monitored and topped up. Pool and steam room was also good .Staff generally were very good especially at breakfast."

"We overall had a wonderful stay, however there were a few areas that improvements are needed. The good - -Rooms very spacious (and thank god for the aircon in the heat). -The property was clean and also had a wonderful garden area. It’s really close to everything as well. -Breakfast was also really good value for money with everything you can think of available. -Friendly staff The bad -Check in. Minimal staff to check guests in at 3pm (check in time) so was extremely long wait. Were offered free drinks from the bar as an apology (which turned out to be a limited selection when claiming when that were not made aware of when first given them, however they are aware of how many guests are checking in on what day, staffing accordingly would make sense. -Bathroom really needs updating - the shower over the bath has zero pressure. The anti slip severely stained, as is the plug hole. Tap for sink also only just hangs over the sink so when washing hands, water goes everywhere. We were also unfortunately to find hairs from previous guest still in the bath -Cleaners. On morning of check out, we were making most of our room before leaving due to us not wanting to be too early to where we were heading onto. Around 9:30 the cleaner knocked to see if we were still present. Made her aware that we didn’t plan on leaving until around 10:30/10:45. 20 minutes later she knocked again and seemed extremely annoyed that we were still there."

"This was such a great family hotel. Family room was spacious and lovely set up. The kids loved the swimming pool (which offered towels which helped with luggage and washing when we got home!). Breakfast had a great selection and of good quality too. Will definitely be staying here again."

"The hotel is undergoing a renovation at the moment but it is difficult to see where the refurbishment has been completed and where not. Our room was very sparse so if it has been renovated it is not properly finished. Also, we were looking forward to a quiet weekend break but only found out when we got there that an 80’s night was taking place on the Sunday which went on until well after midnight and disrupted our sleep. Don’t think we will be returning any time soon."

"Checked in, saw room was on a floor with lots of kids running about the hallway, also right at the elevator, and an adjoining door to noisy neighbours. Wasn’t allowed to change rooms without £100 change fee. Next morning, iron wasn’t working. Breakfast had 2 girls rushed off their feet, told that all food that was available was out I asked about croissants and pastries, told they had run out (this was at 0855) Over all terrible stay, would have been better and cheaper at the premier inn 2 mins away."

"I need to pay more attention to what I am booking but this place didnt really feel like a hotel but a conference centre with rooms. But on saying that there were positives which I will start with. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly even when I was grumpy. Secondly, breakfast was pretty good. The rooms, as the weekend was a hot one, were cool even without air con. And the bed comfy. Now to the bad points. I am a big guy and the room i was given I could not fit in the shower. The gap in the doors just didnt allow it. To be fair to the hotel staff they swapped out room where the shower cubicle had a proper door and no problems. What I dont get is apparently this is a common complaint with the room we were given. So change the shower cubicle. I would like to point out it wasnt the size of the cubicle just the doors didnt open wide. And lastly its a pet peeve that you have to buzz in and out of the hotel. I just dont see the point and it just makes me fill like I am not trusted. Minor thing as it seems to be creeping into hotels but I hate it. Got to admit the staff saved this review as I was close to blowing my top over the shower."

"Beautifully clean, large room, however, we stayed during the bank holiday heatwave and the air con wasn't working. A portable air con unit had been placed in the room but wasn’t enough for such a large space. Unable to open windows, so had a sleepless night due to the unbearable heat. Huge room, great shower and very comfortable bed. We also stayed for breakfast which was amazing! Beautiful hotel just a shame that we chose a boiling hot weekend to stay."

"Clean convenient to m5 and lovely helpful staff. BUT advertised facilities include ev charging however the hotel has no control. 2 ev charge points have been out of service for twoweeks The faster 50kw was subject to other guests not disconnecting / leaving the bay once their charge complete. Negating the advantage of choosing this property in the first place"
