Clearwater-St. Pete Beaches Hotels

"We booked St. Pete Shores Hotel (Itinerary #72071582369574) based on their listing, which prominently features a beachfront children’s playground. That amenity does not exist. It’s completely misleading. What this hotel does not disclose is that the property is an active construction zone. The entire place is under renovation—potholes, construction cones, fencing, and yellow hazard tape everywhere. Construction noise runs daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, including weekends. This is not a vacation environment—especially not for families with young children. The “Shore side” rooms (where we were placed) are in unacceptable condition: • Broken patio furniture with holes • Dirty toilet upon arrival • Cigarette butts left behind • Mismatched, worn-down furniture This is basic cleanliness and safety being ignored. We also requested adjoining rooms for our family. The front desk admitted there were still unoccupied rooms but refused to accommodate or make any adjustments. Zero effort to help. This was not a budget stay—we paid a premium price for what was advertised as a family-friendly beachfront experience. Instead, we got a construction site with unsafe conditions and misleading marketing. If you’re traveling with kids or expecting what’s shown in their photos—do not book here."

"I was in the area for a business meeting so my family went with me to hang out at the beach. Overall, the staff was not very friendly and seemed put off to help. The hotel is historic and cool, but rooms are small and for the price you would think other things would be more accommodating and nice. Prices were quite high for everything. The elevator system is awful and took so long that we used the stairs the whole stay. They were filming a show 2 of the 3 days we were there which shut down one of the avg sized pools (only have two) requiring all guests to cram into the other area. Filming also shut down the lobby and elevator area for an extensive time. I asked the front desk (two others beside me also asked) about why we’re not told about the filming and if there would be a discount. Front desk person just smirked and said that would not be happening. At the Society restaurant for dinner, my daughter who has an egg and nut allergy (we disclose to everyone) had to order a chicken soft taco with cheese. This was an off menu item they said they could do. It showed up with cubed chicken that was barely warm with a slice of Kraft cheese laying on it. It was disgusting. After voicing frustration, the manager who saw the same thing took off 10%. I don’t mind paying for things, especially for good service and nice amenities but this stay was well below expectations."

"Good place for the price beach access easy and no different then any place on st Pete. Beds comfortable and clean room . Parking up front if your lucky but plenty across street in very nice car port"

"The room was clean. Not many amenities for kids and the pool description was misleading. The water park is not included and VERY expensive and for a room of 6 we only got 2 passes to the water park. The pool was small but worked. Beach access was close walking distance. Overall okay place to stay. "

"The beach view was excellent and in general, the room was clean. The property left some things to be desired such as: light daily room tidying (garbages emptied, beds made, towels replenished without being asked)...I requested my sheets be changed in the primary bedroom since my duvet cover was a little dirty and they could not accommodate me until the following day - no one wants to sleep with a dirty duvet cover. The spaces were also a little tight. Overall it was ok but I would probably not go out of my way to stay there again. "

"The room was very outdated and felt dirty. The staff was very friendly and the food and bar were great. The beach is pretty far from the balconies and pretty view. But the cleanliness overall was an issue for us. "

"Amazing location and perfect for the three of us. Clean, came with beach chairs and umbrella and the beach entrance is right across the street. Wonderful!"
