"We loved Devon Shores for:Immaculate room, Wonderful housekeeping, good location, and free parking. We also loved the 3 Queen beds!!! The 2 pools are very clean and nice and the hotel supplies great towels and coffee. there is a new wine chiller and refrigerator in the rool but no microwave. The AC is strong! There is a private patio with table and chairs off the room. The hotel is not fancy and has no bar or restaurant, but is adjacent to everything in Clearwater beach which is a short walk away! "

"This hotel would be considered the armpit of Clearwater Beach. Not because the rooms look dated or the ice machine doesn’t work on the 8th floor or the hairdryer stopped working in our room or the breakfast options were sad. No, those failed amenities made sense for what we paid. Unfortunately, we were bamboozled out of the nicer room we paid for and got the runaround from staff who said Expedia was to blame. One night of what felt like a dungeon, the manager showed up the next morning and we were accommodated and moved into the premier room: balcony, kitchenette, marina view. "

"Our stay at Opal Sands was excellent. The view from room was beautiful as it looked out to the ocean and the beach going to the beach was easy because you just walked down downstairs to reserve a beach chair in the morning and then you could enjoy it all day. The pool was heated and excellent shade in the morning, which was great for kids. The towel service at the pool is the best I’ve ever seen. We were able to get towels for the beach and the pool as needed. The food by the pool and the sandbar was great for lunch. We had a reservation at the restaurant and it was the best meal we had. We also walked to several other highly rated restaurants in the area and enjoyed having options. Note the beach can get crowded on busy weeks. However, everyone is very pleasant and I didn’t even feel it since the chairs create space and the safe walkin areas of the ocean extends very far. "

"Staff was great. We got 2 queen size beds 1 room I don’t know if there was a mix up or if we got scammed but we got 2 full sized bed instead of what we paid $1700 for 5 nights for. The hotel is older definitely needs some renovations and upgrades. The view I will say was absolutely beautiful and amazing. The elevator was working but was extremely slow at times. All and all not bad for our first ever stay there. not the best nor the worst give it a solid firm neutral. The room we got was extremely clean when we arrived no problems there at all. "

"Pros-Lovely hotel, great pool, everything clean, great rooftop bar and great location. Cons- no pool towels-had to go ask for them, always a queue at reception (but helpful staff once you got to the front of the queue)"
