"Stayed at the Thistle a few times now and I'm happy to see the improvements in the reception area, making it look brighter and more appealing than it's previous dark and somewhat drab ambience. The rooms seem to have been refreshed too, clean, nicely furnished and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is spectacularly good with a wide range of cooked and continental options. Staff are friendly and helpful and, rather importantly, the Thistle is excellent value for money and very convenient for Heathrow T5: I wouldn't stay anywhere else should I need a bed for the night before or after a flight. The one thing I would really like to see is a covered walkway to the Heathrow pod station with a better surface for hauling those heavy suitcases. "
