"Booked this hotel for the first night of our trip on the Bernia express. Located about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station it was an amazing hotel.
The room we were allocated was in an outer building which was easy to access. The room was spotlessly clean, very spacious with all amenities. The hotel must have had a refurb as you could still smell the new carpets and fresh paint work. The bath was very stylish with everything you could need.
If I were visiting Tirano again I would stay here again."

"Everything about the Hotel Stelvio was great. A lovely welcome when we arrived and a spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. (And a lovely view of the mountains!)
The bathroom was spotless too.
Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food and there was also a great selection of teas available.
The location was great, about 7 mins walk from the train station.
We would definitely stay here again when in Tirano. "

"All the photos on Expedia look super modern yet our room looked like the 1960's. Staff very rude and did not speak very much english until we got upset then it was perfect. On the website they talk about a hottub and sauna yet it was an extra charge.
We stayed 1 night of a 4 night stay then we decided to leave knowing we would not get a refund.
In our 16 days in Italy for the Olympics this was the only bad place we stayed."

"The staff at the front desk were outstanding. They contacted me in advance to ensure that I would have no issues on arrival, then made some very nice suggestions to enjoy and make the most of my one-night stay in Tirano The two ladies I met were both very welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The apartment itself was very nice, modern, clean, economically priced in my opinion, and conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train station. The only drawback to this is that it’s located along the tracks across from the train station so you will hear some verbal announcements and train arrivals and departures. This was not an issue for me given the short stay but if it will bother you, take it into consideration — especially if you plan a longer stay. "
