"Stresa is an enchanting enclave on Lago Maggiore. the hotel is modern, very nicely appointed. We had a balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooftop pool, bar, and incredible views of the lake and mountains round out what is a fabulous hotel. Oh, did I mention the spa. Everything you need to relax. It's hard to go wrong with any location in Stresa, it's such a small town. Nicely situated on the lake and easy access to the Boromean islands and Verbania, on the opposite side of the lake."

"This Hotel is a MUST to stay in.As you drive up you think you are in a time machine as you approach this gorgeous edifice from another century.Th...e rooms are spacious and you feel as if you are either in a castle or a museum. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Located only a short walk from the ferrys to the islands.breakfast was out of thos world.Fantastic choices everyday with spectacular service.This is the Hotel to choose if you are going to visit Lake Maggiore. "Hotel website is misleading since they indicate rooms have air conditioning however it’s only seasonal. Rooms very hot and can’t open the balcony door because it’s full of spiders at night and extremely noisy. Couldn’t sleep much at night."

"Air condition didn't work. Had to get housekeeping to clean my room again when I check in...Other than that, great location and staff were helpful."

"We had the first floor suite or mini apartment with fridge (freezer box above it) microwave, kettle, full size dishwasher and sink. They kindly left us a bottle of red wine and biscuits and two bottles of water. We went to Conad supermarket which wasn’t far by car, we are driving. Or Carrefour express within walking distance in town. Many restaurants locally. Being British we don’t like to eat late. We can recommend Centrale as they were always busy and cooked all day. The view! WOW! We had a large covered terrace which was great in April as it did rain. We could still enjoy outside. Note you would not get the sun on room 106. Sun sets behind the hotel so I would go for a ground floor room with the grass area. Sun set last there. We did get noise from the breakfast room below us and anyone drinking at night. Superking size bed, lots of storage for clothes. Large double vanity bathroom and sofa bed in the lounge. Dining table and chairs also on the patio with two sun loungers. Honestly we struck lucky with this hotel. Short walk to ferry terminal to get to the islands. We did Isola Bella it was stunning. But don’t eat at the sandwich stall with yellow tablecloths. Hubby got food poisoning on our last day. He ate the hot dog, I didn’t so we know exactly what it was. Staff here are excellent, we did a load of laundry for 10€ so handy as we had run out of various items. Bed comfortable. We got a free parking space across the road under the trees. "The breakfasts are anazing, the room is nice, but a weird shape. The view is great, especially at the sunny and a bit if clouds weather. The heating is AC, so it takes time to warm up te room, the water takes quite some time to heat (3-5 min of cold water before hot water arrives). The bad is a nice size, nut for my 1.9 meters it was barely enough if I use a small pillow. So beds must be 1.9-2m, yake it into account. Atllthough, it is wide wnough to fit me diagonally + my loved one."
