The staff were friendly upon arrival. Was given a little welcome bag that had waters and a snack. Hotel was clean. Room was clean. We walked around the hotel just to see what they had for future stays. My family and I didn’t stay long. We just need a place to relax a few hours and take a small nap before our early morning flight. Hotel is walking distance to the mall and restaurants. I bought a few frozen pizzas from Giordano’s to take back home to CA and I asked the lady in front if I can have her put the pizzas in the freezer for me and she was nice to do so. Thankful for that. I would definitely stay here again.

Things that I liked : the room was very clean, and looked well maintained. The blackout curtains were truly black out. We slept in until 8am and our room was pitch black. The noise levels were so low, we didn’t hear a bunch of traffic, so it made it really easy to sleep, esp for me who is a light sleeper. Downsides: I thought the Expedia had shown there was breakfast- but they just had a bistro- the prices were crazy. It was cheaper to leave & go to Mcd’s to grab food. The fitness center was very small & the first day I walked in there a ceiling tile had fell on a treadmill due to water. Some ok things- the pool- it was a 3/4ft deep pool. It was perfect for my 4 yr old. But if there was a bunch on there- there would have been no room. Overall- not bad for our stay. It was on the cheaper end for pricing & it was very central for all the things we did. Def thing it was a 3/5 stay.

Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Schaumburg/Woodfield Mall, booked through Expedia. The hotel was great — clean, comfortable, and an enjoyable stay overall. One piece of feedback on the booking process: when reserving, it wasn't clear whether breakfast was included with our rate. We assumed it was, but found out at the hotel that it wasn't. It would help future travelers if the rate options clearly showed whether breakfast is included, and offered it as an add-on where available. A small thing, but it would make planning easier and avoid surprises at check-in.
