WCU Parent's Weekend Trip

We stayed at the Oakview cabin to attend Parent's Weekend at WCU. The cabin is a one bedroom one bathroom with a loft that has 2 beds and 2 cots. The cabin was very nice, well stocked with extras that we didn't expect like snacks and toiletry items. If you walk down the driveway there is a lake with crystal clear water. Very pretty! Some good hiking in the area. The cabin felt private and secluded which is a plus for us. If you are looking for a small cabin for a hiking/mountain get-a-way then I would recommend this cabin. However, for the parent's weekend at WCU this cabin was a little too far for my liking. I would estimate 40 minutes away from campus.
