La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview
10/10 Excellent
"The only negative i have to say is the afternoon shift female at the desk wouldn't give me time of day or acknowledge i was standing there. She seamed more interested in talking to her co-worker who was on the way out or another female."
"The hotel is a great location to explore all of Charleston by foot. The room was comfortable but dated. Bed was comfy. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet looked ancient and didn’t flush well. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price I paid."
Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District
8/10 Good
"The breakfast bar was great. The staff were professional and pleasant. The hotel has some years on it but it is well maintained. I found it interesting the it was originally part of the Citadel Military Academy. I found the architecture quite interesting. The location is great in historical Charleston. It is within walking distance of many interesting and entertaining places. Check out King Street, the Charleston Museum, the South Carolina Aquarium, and visitors center.
A word of warning to folks who are challenged getting up from low seats: All the sofas, easy chairs. and the toilet in our room were all low. You sit IN them."
