"I checked in around 9:00pm on 8/11. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I thought the room had a slight smell. Maybe it was the cleaning chemicals, but it wasn't the usual pine smell of Lysol, more like a weird incense. But sheets etc were clean. I like that the window opened, but it could use a screen due to bugs. Breakfast was as advertized -- waffle maker, yogurts, etc. Coffee carafes (there were two) were almost full and piping hot, which is always a big plus for me!"

"Green Mill is a welcoming, clean hotel with comfortable rooms, a good breakfast menu and great info on Amish culture, shops and restaurants. Broomtown Cafe in Arcola was a perfect stop for a bite for lunch!"

"Back door did not lock at all, watched a guy ride up on a bike and just walk in without swiping a room key. He walked upstairs to a room and went right back outside! Seemed suspicious to me!"
