Central West Coast Florida hotel rooms a the Best Western

"The resort is not fully functioning. Tiki bar, food and spa services are completely shut down. The room was in the only open building in the back part of the resort, A/C did not work. Under complete construction. Very disappointed. When we made the staff aware of our concerns, they literally said nothing, other than to discuss with Expedia."

"The AC definitely kept the room cold. Breakfast was the same each morning, but did include eggs and sausage as well as waffles and cereal, oatmeal muffins, etc. We did not evaluate the pool. Ice machine worked. Coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. This is more of a classic motel set up with the doors facing outward toward the parking lot and has units on only 2 stories. It is also obviously an older facility, but our room seemed quite well kept. The staff we met were great and accommodating for needs. "

"This facility was booked in order to participate in boating adventures. They do have a boat ramp though somewhat narrow. The issue arises when using the dock for tying up while launching, recovering or use for lunch at the grill. The dock space is signed for the hotel however the water adventure shop has dominated most of the dock. Numerous times I witnessed the dock staff yelling across the dock for someone not to dock their boat to use the facilities stating they had paddlers returning or other boats had priority. They did indicate a somewhat hidden spot one could use. My complaint, is that this becomes a hostile experience and was remarked on by others as well. I feel this could be easily remedied with clear signage stating which spots were open on a first come first serve basis. Otherwise, many would not return and I am one included. Even when I returned for lunch, since there was not a dock staff person to advise which slip I could use, I instead just docked next door at another welcoming restaurant to avoid the stress."

"The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. Parking was well lit and there was security."

"The employees are super friendly and helpful. The conditions are overall good but the facilities need touch up on walls, doors, and other surfaces that are dirty and have handprints.The place has recently been worked on as evidenced by new floors in the units I stayed in and those I was able to see. The cleaning of the units seems to be good overall. "

"Overall the stay was descent, however, the downfall is the location. Difficult to get sleep with boat motors launching, local truck meet up spot with trucks and cars revving up and burning out and the young crowd parting in the lot next to the hotel all night and early morning. No one available to discuss concerns, no staff at location through the night. "

"This stay we did not have the breakfast for the two days, we slept in. Room was clean but smelt musty. Mattress was soft. Staff was great! We stay here cause it's the closest hotel to our son's place and unfortunately he does not have room to put us up. Both stays we never went to the pool. Hotel is very conveniently located."
