"I booked this hotel based on other reviews and the English Inn lived up to all the 5 star reviews. You can smell how clean the hotel is when you arrive. The room was spacious, very clean, good amenities in the bathroom , 2 TVs, a full refrigerator, full breakfast and the English teatime from 4-6 was a great unexpected bonus. Will definitely stay here again!"

"It was a good place to stay along our travels. It was enough out of the way of heavy traffic for us to get right back on the interstate the next morning. It felt pretty safe and secure. The kids had breakfast before we left it was your usual quick breakfast options cereal, yogurt, waffles, toast and juice. Had coffee as well and other hot beverages. It was advertised as a non smoking hotel but you could smell weed everywhere you went in it other then our actual room so I really didn't like that. Overall though a good place to rest for the night and get back on the road the next morning."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was too cold. The hot tub was way too hot. The pool room was uncomfortable. Bed was ok. Property seemed dated. Breakfast was average."

"I am a Cancer cancer free now and I came down to Richmond to go to the flying squirrels game and I picked this hotel and it was very nice very awesome staff was awesome everything about it was awesome awesome and great like again I said the staff was so nice and so polite and help me with everything I needed I was with my wife and I just want to say awesome Hotel little pricey but awesome Hotel"

"I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was in excellent condition, the staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful. The only downfall was the cost of snacks. I would recommend bringing your own. Although they did give complimentary bottles of water, a candy bar was $3, a Coke was $4, and a bottle of Smart water was $8. Just bring your own if you like to snack."

"Really enjoyed our weekend at the Jefferson leaving the hotel only once. Got massages, a pedicure, swam and relaxed in the salt water pool and outdoor deck and ate all our meals at their Lemaire restaurant. The hotel is beautiful with quite a history. Our room was very spacious with spacious bathroom as well. The staff were uniformly so pleasant and helpful. There is outdoor parking lot right next to the hotel (valet or self) for a fee. Highly recommend for an upscale hotel experience."

"Didn't use the gym. Overall, everything was awesome, except for the loud Elevator noise all night. We were given a room near the elevator machine room. It was rm#211. We had to bear it because we only had two nights, but it was so disturbing. Other then that, everything was great! The hotel was clean, staff great, excellent breakfast etc.! Will definitely recommend it to family and friends "
