"The room is not cleaned well, there was contact lens of last customer left in the night stand and I reached out to the customer service. They offered to change a room but I refused due to kids live in the next door. I repeatedly ask them to clean the room again and change all the sheets as this finding was very uncomfortable. All the answer I got was they did do the house cleaning and no apologies. In the second day, I found another lens next to the phone, which means they only removed the one I noticed and not even clean the night stands throughly! The hotel is located in a beautiful campus and the building is great. But this experience was very disappointing regarding a four star hotel. Watch out when you check in."

"We stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Raleigh/Durham Southpoint from April 1 to April 3. I want to start by recognizing the staff, because they were truly the highlight of our stay. Everyone we interacted with was polite, helpful, and attentive. They checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay, which is not something you see often. They were doing their best within their limits. Unfortunately, the condition of the property did not meet expectations. The hotel had more of a motel feel than a hotel feel. Hallway carpets looked worn, the gym had a single, outdated treadmill, and breakfast was average (about 3/5). There were cleanliness and maintenance concerns. One of the two elevators was broken, and the working elevator smelled like smoke. We also noticed people cooking in their rooms, smoke smells in the building, pets throughout the property, and children running loudly in the hallways. The noise became disruptive enough that we had to request a move to a different floor. Our room also felt outdated, and the bathroom was not cleaned to the standard we expected. My comments are directed more toward Wyndham and property management than the staff. The employees were professional and helpful, but this location clearly needs investment and updates. I appreciate the staff, but due to the overall condition, I would likely choose a different place next time."

"This hotel needs a complete renovation. The carpet in the hallway was loose and a danger to any elderly person walking on it. The bedroom had a distinct unpleasant smell and the carpets were stained. After just a few minutes in the room we realized that we could not stay ay this hotel. The person at the front desk did allow us to cancel and receive a full refund."

"We stayed at this hotel twice on our way south and back. The first time was not good. The toilet was very low to the ground which was difficult for us as we are in our 80s. There was no handsoap at the sink so we had to reach across the tub to the body wash every time we needed to wash our hands. The second time we asked for an accessible room which solved the toilet problem and there was soap."

"Clean, comfortable room, courteous staff, location near an interstate connection for quick travel access, amenities with internet and DirectTV were fine although an iron and board would be helpful. Second stay with 10's across the board once again, Charles Hughes"

"The hotel is overall a great stay. The staff are very accommodating. The breakfast is AMAZING! Probably one of the best hotel breakfast services I have ever used, it was obvious that they put a lot of care and attention into it. We stayed one night because we had to drop off our daughter at RDU at 0630 and live 2+ hours away. The clerk booked the shuttle for us at check in so we don’t have to worry about that; first thing in the morning the shuttle was waiting for us. We were able to call the front desk and ask for the shuttle to return and pick us up with a minimal wait time. The hotel is less than 5 miles from RDU. Due to the late checkout time of 12:00 I was even able to make use of the excellent gym equipment and indoor pool before getting cleaned up, packed up, and checking out. The only thing that I recommend to other travelers is to take your wall blocks with you for chargers as the hotel furniture outlets are not USB-A they are standard receptacles. Excellent hotel, excellent staff, excellent food, excellent stay. I would definitely stay again."
