"The host at the restaurant was great.
but...We started in an outside room that had a very old decrepit bathroom. The ceiling was patched in one corner and the floor, and not very well done. The molding in that corner was peeling away from the wall and splintered at the bottom and very discolored. The tub was old and cruddy looking although I do believe it was cleaned well, just old and damaged. The bathroom also had a bad rotten egg like smell.
Our party had interior rooms so we asked to change rooms which was handled well. The new room was much better. Although the sliding door in the shower came off the track the second day. Also a very loud fan in the air system. We turned that off. Fortunately the seasonal temperatures were ok.
Last thing. There were infant swimming lessons being given in the pool outside the room where an infant SCREAMED and cried for an hour. The noise was very disturbing (we were trying to nap), as well as upsetting! Poor baby!! The staff offered to relocate us. Because of our earlier room experience, we declined. We were told the swimming instructor had a contract with the hotel and nothing could be done. Apparently that was more important than the guests' comfort (and he poor baby)."
