"Near Dodger Stadium and although the area is a little sketchy, we felt safe walking around and to and from the ballgame. Only real problem was check in. The email that we received with instructions was garbled. We had some anxious moments locating and getting in to the property. Very adequate for a two night stay. "

"It’s my second time staying at this establishment, and I’ve been happy with both experiences. The hosts are friendly and easy to reach. The rooms and beds are as advertised. Bed was comfortable and clean. There are shared bathrooms and kitchen. The guest house is conveniently located in Koreatown and close to the freeway (if you drive; plus you can pay for gated parking for $5/night or street park for free) and close to bus stop. "Thoroughly enjoyed my 5-day stay at Sanborn Guest House. Gary and Jaime have thought of everything you need for your stay. They are wonderful hosts and really knowledgeable about the local area. I stayed in the Sanborn Room, which is very comfortable and decorated with eclectic items from Gary and Jaime's travels. It's good having the separate sitting area with a lounge, a couple of chairs, and a coffee table, as well as access to the shared kitchen. The off-street secure parking is a bonus...

"As an advocate of adaptive reuse of historic buildings I enjoyed experiencing the attractive converted apartment -hotel spaces. Somewhat more comfortable sofas/chairs would have made my stay nicer, as would retrofit of the street-facing windows to make them more sound-proof. "Checking in was easy. The property owner was very pleasant and thorough with the check in process. The roof top was a perfect serene place early in the morning. The view was a plus. My kids and their friends absolutely enjoyed their time as well. The neighbors may have been a little bit upset about the laughter and chatter late into the night and complained but we weren’t extremely loud or partying so the walls may just be a little thin. "Excellent instructions on how to find the place and get in. Decently located for Ubering to destinations. Walking distance to a Target, which was great for groceries. Unit was spacious and well equipped. Fast internet. One of the windows however couldn't be fully closed. Not a big deal because the AC unit was strong enough to keep out the heat."
