"We were in town for State track and unfortunately, the River Walk was also being held. We drove around for over 30 minutes trying to get to the hotel since all the roads were blocked off and detours were a circle. Then trying to park in the garage was a challenge due to backed up traffic. Upon check-in, which was after 9, part of the restaurant was closed, which made the dining area a little crowded, but everyone was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. However, we were not told that the room key is how to get out of the parking garage and the next morning trying to leave multiple people were stranded in the garage due to already checking out and keys were de-activated. Most issues were not directly the hotel issue, other than parking. However, communication about the closed roads to the hotel would have been appreciated."
