"Took 5 different times to find an acceptable room. First 3 rooms had such a terible, chemical odor, it made us nauseous as soon as we entered the room. Pool was closed and being repaired. Okay. But the view and noise of construction on it was super annoying. In one building we were told we'd have to drive to a whole different hotel to use their sister-property's pool. The only person on staff (Gil) was nice and trying his best, but admitted he was completely unfamiliar with Juniper. He had no idea which room to place us for our 9-day stay! On try #5, and 1-1/2 hours later, we finally got an acceptable room. It was decent and clean, and new carpet (which also had an odor), but leaving the screened door panel open resolved that issue. Complimentary coffee packet in the room was horrible, and no one was working the small gift shop Cafe on Mother's day weekend d, so we could not get coffee anywhere in the resort. Hubby had to leave and drive to get drinkable coffee.
This was our 5th stay at Juniper and the entire resort looked run down and smelled musty in every hallway. Sadly, we will be booking elsewhere in the future. ☹️"
