"Right from check in, the front desk person was odd and standoffish. Our room had zero view, hard wood floors with sand on it... There was a poor patch job done to the shower bottom that appears water damaged. We could not use the pool or hot tub apon arrival due to an unexpected music event??? Last but not least ..there was non boutique amenities in the room reminiscent of motel 6....WE HAD NO AIR CONDITIONING IN OUR ROOM..aaaand the location of our room was right next to a main entrance and we could hear all the doors slamming and rude loud guests. Sure, there is many shopping and dining experiences near by and the beaches are lovely nearby...but this review is NOT about Carmel and its value now is it??? "

"Only 2 things brought it down really. We had ants in our room which ruined some of our road trip food. Also the wifi was weak & kept kicking me off. Staff were good, breakfast good. Room a little run down but not bad really. Typical stuff. "

"Rooms smaller than expected. Staff unwelcoming unless they are trying to sell you on a time share at check in. No room service for food. Took housekeeping 45min to give us a towel on one day, and on another day took almost 45mins to give us waters & vanity kits that should have been replenished during our room clean but wasn’t. Wouldn’t return."
