"We stayed here as a staycation. The room was clean. The phone didn't work. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk. Someone came to switch out the phone, but it still didn't work. They are in the middle of renovating some of the hotel so it's good to see that they are making improvements.
You can't bring anything into the water park except water. They will check your bag and confiscate anything extra. Even when the bar and restaurant closes, they'll still not slow you to bring things in. The pool area is very nice. One of the bathrooms was closed for renovations I believe. The other restaurants near the pool are also being renovated. When it's done, it will be great. There were some areas along the lazy river that need renovated. We saw several exposed wires."
