Terra Cave Hotel

"Firstly, we received a very warm welcome from Metin, the evening reception staff member, at checkin, who helped us with self-parking in very tight limited parking areas, and brought our luggage in, and personally showed us our room. He then gave us recommendations on places to eat and sights to see on an area map. He offered to help with booking hot air balloon rides, and provided discount codes for the same. I would like to make special mention of the immense help provided by Servet, the morning reception staff member, who went to great lengths in connecting me with the car rental customer service department and speaking with them in Turkish to help resolve a problem I was having. Our hotel room had special charm, in that it was historically a kitchen area with an oven and pit for storing wine jars, which had been repurposed to provide decor as a hotel room. It was pleasantly spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good, with pleasant and polite staff making the experience more enjoyable. The hotel had a rooftop that provided great views of the fairy chimneys and balloons as they rose aloft. It is situated in a prime location amongst other cave hotels, and within easy walking distance to downtown Göreme, and driving distance to most sightseeing spots."

"Our room, a cave room, was huge and we loved it. There were some drinks in the fridge, a bottle of wine, fruit and snacks left for us. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel. Especially the breakfast which was a absolutely delicious feast every morning."

"Drawbacks : The card-operated doors were unreliable. There were snack crubs on the carpet left by the previous guest. Advantages : But staff were helpful. Breakfast was sufficent and in good taste. Rooms were very spacious and airy. The most cost effective hotel in this region."

"Good location, very central. The breakfast was excellent. Staff polite and helpful. We stayed in one of the cave rooms and it was definitely a unique experience. Also the hotel has several terraces to watch the sunset and the balloons rising during the sunrise."

"I loved this property and I plan to revisit at every opportunity. The staff were amazing, the hotel smelled like heaven, the property was extremely clean and the convenience to town was great. The only thing I’d ask is that they add more options to the menu. Outside of that, this property was perfection!"

"Enjoyed our stay here despite the atrocious weather! We had a lovely room in a genuine cave. Unfortunately it trained so hard that it came through the roof, but the staff moved us to another equally nice cave."
