"The room was fine, the breakfast was fine, check out was easy, it was the checking in that was difficult. Check-in is at 3pm -- we checked-in at 3:04 pm and our room wasn't ready, so we were asked to wait 10-15 minutes. Mind you, we had just gotten off the train after being on it for 2 days and needed showers before a reservation at 4. They waited until the room still wasn't ready at 3:40pm to assign us a different room that was ready, after another guest who had "just booked their room online" was able to check-in and immediately have their room ready. We did not make our 4pm reservation, and the rest of our experience at the hotel was highly impacted by our first interaction at check-in."

"We had a very clean room, outdated, but the chlorine smell was so strong we had asthma. The beds were very comfortable, but we had very noisy people behind and on the top rooms that threw beisballs and a freebie to our windows and door, all this accompanied with loud music. An ok breakfast, a plus? Boiled eggs. Nothing special about it. 1st staff was not friendly, but the one after her was great, and helped us with utensils and cups. We may go back to this hotel because location"

"We stayed here due to a Lacrosse tournament being nearby, which is why I imagine most guests were there this weekend as well. We were charged over $200 a night and this property is so tired and gross. The rooms were dirty, bathroom was filthy and hadn't been deep cleaned or really cleaned in a long time. Mold growing in the shower and we had several spider bites along with finding a spider in the shower. The air conditioner sputtered in and out of working, sheets did not fit on the bed and kept coming off, floor was filthy. I would not recommend, even for the convenience of being close to the venue. "

"Place is cute in a great location. The shower floors are slimy and need a good scrubbing. Stayed several weeks so started taking our own cleaner and scrubber to clean the shower floor before using. Overall whole place could use a good deep clean but is okay. The require a physical card only to run even with special instructions and permissions added on Expedia. We booked all of our travel on one card and every other hotel ran that card to our presence whether it was physically present or not. I usually keep the card and my husband travels. Basalt Mountain Inn won’t accommodate our special request in that regard but we worked out another solution. "
