"The place is a very organized camping ground. With that being said, it’s not close to anything, it’s like a 25-30 min walk to the marina and downtown restaurants. They have access to to the beach and a small store that is necessary if you bring nothing. There’s a restaurant but we did not try it, navigating the grounds is confusing and there’s no views of the sea just camping tents, RVs or little cottages among the trees. Walk to the beach is a hike.. We stayed at one of the cottages and it had AC that you pay extra for, a little sink and stove and bathroom, was clean but the bed was super hard. A little overrated but this was our only find in the area. We saw a lot of people enjoying the campground, so if that suits you this is a good place."
"Lovely seat. Beautiful beach and swimming pool. Although pool not heated water was not too cold to easily get in and swim some laps. Only negative was restaurant, which has only passable food and was expensive. Breakfast was good and generous."
"What an unexpected pleasure. Everything was exactly as promised, or better. The quality of the food, service, and ambiance of the restaurant were also exceptional. I’ll be back!"
"Smell of sewage from the bathrooms, WiFi non existent. They should at least leave some things to keep the property clean, no bin liners, sponge or washing up liquid, literally nothing - I wasn’t going to buy every household cleaning product for a short stay. It is a shame because that explains why the property was dirty. No bins in the bathroom either"
"We had a very comfortable room with a balcony view of the river and sea. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Excellent breakfast and good hotel restaurant. Other advantages are free parking (500 metres away) and a 10 euro voucher if you opt not to have your room cleaned one day. "
"In Punta Ala, the Scoglietto 50 is a good place to stay. This is a condominium complex with no amenities.
PROS: Adjacent to the beautiful Punta Ala Golf Course with spectacular views of the Mediterranean and empty. For golf lovers, we highly recommend. Walking distance (10-15 minutes) to a grocery store, restaurants. Walking distance (15 minutes) to a decent, but not spectacular beach. Nice running path parallel to the beach (and you can also run on the beach). The water is shallow. For a family with young children, this is a safe beach. It is safe and very quiet. Not a lot of tourists (very much a local Italian resort); but nothing to do for adolescents and young single adults (no nightlife). So, it depends on what you are looking for.
CONS: Our 2 bedroom condo (with a 3rd Harry Potter type room with 2 twin beds) was ok with good air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher. HOWEVER, the safe deposit box was broken and there is no coffee machine. We made do with instant coffee. No swimming pool. While the beach is a 15 minute walk away, it is mostly private. Local restaurants and hotels have "privatized" the beach by filling it up with deckchairs. There is very little space between the deck chairs and the water (just enough to walk on the sand, but not to lay down a towel). But if you pay for a deckchair, then you can enjoy the beach.
We enjoyed our 7 night stay (there for a wedding). But, the condo and the restaurants, etc...are expensive for what you get."
