"We spent the first night of our honey moon at the romantic Miramare Hotel in Formia. The hotel (located in an old castle) is situated in a breathtaking surrounding - high up in the mountains with a spectacular view of the sea. At arrival we were greeted by a nice woman who also helped us carrying our stuff to our room, (lots of winding stairs). The Miramare is a special place! "This hotel is in a fantastic location, convenient for food, shopping, beach and a great view. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Pool is nice although a little odd - very small so booking is needed, saltwater although that didn’t bother us. It’s also very odd to have to wear a swimhat, even google couldn’t full explain why this is needed!"
