She showed us an unacceptable small unit, which we declined, until showing us a larger one with a view (which we had paid for). 5. "nice view of the valley and walkable to St. Francis of Assisi and St. Acunis. If you're driving, make sure to make a reservation way ahead at the hotel before arriving. Parking is limited and streets quite narrow."

"Wonderful hotel only 3 star but such friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms in the Jazz building. We loved the roof top pool and the free coach shuttle service up to piazza Partigiano bus stop to access the Umbria jazz stage. Wonderful stay at Gio wine & Jazz hotel. Very helpful multi-lingual staff, whether giving advice or directions, selling mini-metro transit passes, or storing luggage. Excellent central location within the old walls, near to major piazzas, historic sites, museums, cafes & restaurants. Easy to access hotel from bus station via moving stairs (escalator), near to mini-metro line to get to/from main train station. A great summer stay in a great Umbrian city!"
