First impressions count! Trent greeted us and got us checked in. He is super polite and professional. Later we tried the TV only to find out it was broken somehow. Trent got the on-staff tech person, Isreal, to get our TV replaced and set up, and showed us how to operate it. Isreal, too, was super. Trent later visited our room to make sure all was well with us. The room was spacious and well appointed. All was very clean. Breakfast is described as Continental, but it is really a full breakfast, the best anywhere. When we checked out that staff, too, was totally professional. Riverside Hotel was the best hotel on our trip.

The free breakfast was nothing to boast about. Very limited options, when an item ran out it was not replaced ( hot food items ) The bar/ restaurant was very expensive, $26 for a French dip sandwich…OUCH! We only saw 2 staff employees all weekend and both were very polite.

My daughter and I had a great Staycation here as a mini getaway, while she was visiting! Our room was clean, very comfortable, and overall it exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the in-house restaurant, Whiskey Butter, with impressive craft cocktails! The owner and chef, Will, stopped by our table to explain what went into making of each. You can tell he has a passion for what he does! We started our dinner with a Poutine appetizer, and then moved on to an incredible butter basted steak and loaded twice baked potato, we shared it. The finale was a dessert called the Tennessee Sue! We were celebrating my daughter's birthday, so it was a perfect way to end the evening. It was all so good, we basically had to roll out of there, lol. Thing to note is that they take the time and care to make everything fresh and savory, so go there with patience. It can take awhile to get your food, but the cocktails and conversation made our time go by fast and the food was sooo worth it! We were very pleased with both our stay at the Riverside Hotel and our time at Whiskey Butter. Highly recommend!
