"No words to describe this place and the people that runs it. Everything was perfect, the scenery, the food, the atmosphere...but most of all the feeling that you've been treated like family. Marco and Eleonora are simply the best one could ask: attentive, professional , caring. Me and my daughter were treated like one of their own and that feeling says more than a million words. "this castello (castle) is a gem of a special place and time. visit www.castellobeccaria.it for more information of the astounding history - a place where Giovanni de'Medici who became pope Leo X in 1513 - 1521 was staying as well. Giovanna and Silvio the owners will happily show and tell you all about it. Silvio - 3rd generation owner - and his wonderful wife Giovanna are working hard to restore the castle to its former beauty and incorporate beautiful guest rooms with modern amenities. Giovanna will surprise you with a cooked to order breakfast and serves it to you personally. We were very, very lucky and happy to find this place on our trip to Florence. Hopefully we will be able to come back for a longer stay. The surrounding town is one of the most restaurated small towns in the area and the couple recommended us to a great restaurant nearby for dinner. We will add some pictures to our review and to give a better impression. "
