"We were put in the wrong room on the third floor with no elevator. We had to move to the second floor in another building with no elevator. No assistance was offered even when I mentioned that it was difficult for to ladies in their mid 70’s.
Breakfast was less than impressive."
"Unfortunately, our stay did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price point. The property appears to be in the middle of renovations/remodeling, which significantly impacted the overall experience and atmosphere during our visit. While the resort has a lot of potential and could eventually become a great destination, it currently feels unfinished and not worth the premium cost.
One of the biggest disappointments was the breakfast situation. The breakfast advertised at the main office was not actually included or available as expected, and the alternative offered was $25 per adult for food quality comparable to a standard Holiday Inn continental breakfast. For the price of the stay, we expected a much higher level of service and amenities.
The location is beautiful if your goal is simply to be immersed in nature, but overall the experience did not justify the expense. At this stage, if you are primarily looking for a nature getaway, you may honestly be better off camping or choosing a more established property nearby."
"Two issues on arrival made this stay fall well short of what was advertised.
First, our assigned room had no functioning air conditioning. Maintenance was unavailable, and we had to be relocated. The front desk waived our parking fee as acknowledgment.
Second, the Hotels.com listing photo (photo 21 of 47, labeled "Indoor pool") clearly shows a hot tub adjacent to the pool. The hotel's own hallway signage directs guests to "Pool & Spa." The hot tub is not temporarily out of service. However it has been covered with a blue tarp, roped off with chain barriers, and filled with potted plants. It has been permanently converted.
Hilton.com lists this as "temporarily closed," which does not accurately describe a permanent conversion.
Hotels.com provided a $35 credit. Hilton corporate declined to offer any consideration. The property would not speak with the Hotels.com manager when contacted on my behalf.
If you are booking here for the pool and spa, be aware that the spa no longer exists in any functional form."
"Had a nice stay for an extended weekend. Nice room and amenities, including the hot breakfast. About a 10 minute to the center of town.
Only complaint was the size of the shower. Shower pressure was fine and there was plenty of hot water. The shower itself wasn’t the biggest. Would stay again."
"Bad experience with the concierge while checking in.The lady was not pleasant from the beginning i approached the reception. She greeted without a smile. And during the process I ask her if she needs the card for deposit/incidentals. She told me “No am going to charge you for the room” sounding irate. Then i told her to “wait a second, I’ll check my bank and hotel.com if it was charged during pre-booking online”. At that point i saw her look at the other employee and rolled her eyes. I was shocked to get such kind of treatment from a concierge staff for the first time ever in my whole life of traveling. I asked her “ i’d you just rolled your eyes on me? that is not acceptable, is it because am Asian?” She denied with the same unapologetic demeanor. But almost cancelled the booking but just took a deep breath and composed myself.
When we were checking out the same lady was there, no greetings and she was looking down whole time while another staff was taking care of me. It was quick, didn’t even ask for my card. he just hand me a copy of my receipt,0 balance due.
Otherwise, room was spacious and decent we got a scenic view. The free breakfast was not bad and yet another “unhappy staff”. she did not reply back when i greeted her good morning 2 days in a row.
I am frequent traveler, know myself perfectly well as a sweet and bubbly person, always courteous and a pleasant guest to staff and everyone else thus so disappointed to experience such a bad customer service."
"Everything was good, room is large, comfortable bed. Location is good near to downtown and restaurants, staff are helpful. Breakfast very good with the most beautiful view, wow! Plus the alphorn playing is amazing .
Absolutely will come back."
