Cons: This is a tired boutique-ish hotel. The suite with hot tub was small (by American suite standards), the suite was dated, the caulking in the bathroom needed redone, the toilet ran, the balcony french doors were in disrepair. Pros: The staff was excellent throughout; pool, spa, sunbathing area, front desk, housekeeping, restuarant, etc. Top notch and is what made the stay enjoyable. The hot tub had good jets, but would timeout within 15 minutes. The balcony offered excellent privacy. The restuarant food was very good. I expected a bigger and newer room for the price, Overall, it was a good experience, just not an excellent one.

This was a beautiful seaside resort with a terrific beach area. We really enjoyed the get-away and really appreciate the kindnesses of the staff, particularly Analucia and Aldo!

Great hotel! Amenities were incredible. Hotel restaurants were ok (there are better food options outside of hotel). If you want to go to the tourist spots in the island, you’ll need a taxi since the hotel is far away.

Paradise in Ischia

In my many years of traveling, I have never experienced service like this. The hotel staff were incredible - especially Muriella and Rosemaria. The location is prime - close to everything but quiet. A dream stay from start to finish.

Friendly and professional team. The property was beautiful and within walking distance to many things. We enjoyed the sun deck and how lovely the rooms were. If you don’t have a car, the bus stop to get around is also right outside. Would definitely return!

Wonderful vacation - will stay again!

The hotel and the staff were nothing short of exceptional. My sister and a friend and I had a great girls get away. Our rooms were outstanding. The breakfast was amazing. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. We greatly appreciated the hotel staff assisting with transportation arrangement from the airport all the way to the front door of the hotel. There was a short walk to the closest port for dinner and everything else was a short cab or bus ride away. I look forward to visiting Ischia again and staying here!

Amazing hotel on ischia

Excellent experience. The rooms are quiet and very clean as well as well appointed. The private beach and beach club are why I chose this hotel and were a huge benefit. This hotel felt like an oasis. The staff offer a high level of customer service and aim to be friendly and helpful. I would stay again in a heart beat. Two helpful things to know, only a few restaurants within easy walking distance. For more options take the bus or rent a scooter during your stay. While I appreciated the hotel helping with booking our boat trip, we didn’t love the provider and felt we would have enjoyed another tour provider better. Also robust complimentary breakfast buffet with a menu of dishes you can custom order including egg dishes which is rare to find in Italy. Big benefit!

Our stay here was perfect. The room was great, location excellent and the beach was the best. The views! We were blown away by how lovely and helpful the staff are. The breakfast team are hilarious, sassy and wonderful. The front desk team are next level beyond. Our ferry got cancelled due to bad weather and the front of house team worked super hard to get us and bunch of other guests on a bigger ferry back to the mainland so we wouldn't miss our connecting flights. They made a miracle happen and we are so grateful. Can't wait to come back.

Great waterfont hotel near Casamiccola

Perched on a cliff top just to the east of Casamiccola (less than 1mile walk), this small, boutique hotel has a great deal to love. From the cute garden entrance to the magnificent view, the historical tile throughout, the whole hotel is a visual delight. If there is anything better than the view, it is the delightful staff who were super friendly. Breakfast maitre'd greeted us with a smile every morning and she made sure we had all the food and coffee we needed. The desk team lead by Stefani was uniformly helpful and offered advice, recommendations and scheduled many a taxi for us. They even arranged for quick turn on some laundry the day before our departure. The bar manager (Aldo) was a fabulous host, arranging not just drinks, but lovely appetizers to go with them. Good team at the beach where there is plenty for everyone. If you want dining, there is a lovely over water patio. If you want some sandy beach, there is a small bit of that. But through creative use of rocks and grottoes, there are places to relax (even a hammock), snorkel and swim. Sea Kayaks for the adventurous. From the smallest child to the older crowd, there was something at the beach. For me, sitting on the jetty with a cold drink (they make a very nice Hugo) and watching all the boats go back and forth was a relaxing and delightful way to relax. Be aware, the beach requires quite a few steps to reach, so might be a bit of a challenge for those with bad knees. two thumbs up.

Hotel is located only 3 minutes ride from Casamicciola terminal (less crowded than the island main port terminal). It is situated top of cliff w great view of the town and with ELEVATOR down to its own small private beach and lounge area (hotels at Amalfi w own beach elevator cost at least triple nightly rate) Property is spotless and staff are attentive. They have upgraded us to a newly renovated room just because it was available during our stay. Highly recommended this hotel if you come to Ischia. And definitely spend a day at Poseidon Terme
