"Hotel very run down, maintenance non existent. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling above bed. Dust everywhere, unable to see out of windows so dirty. Crack in bathroom sink, bath stained and dirty. One bed was stained terrible down the side. On the up breakfast was lovely but tables very sticky so crockery sticking. Apparently this hotel was/is used for homeless people?"
"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and overall had a very good experience. Unfortunately, on the first day there was an issue with the boilers, so we did not have hot water. Since we had an important meeting, it was quite an inconvenient situation for us.
However, we would really like to thank Ms. Jade M, who did her absolute best to help us and make the situation easier. Her kindness, professionalism, and support were truly appreciated.
Aside from this issue, the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was very good with high-quality food, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely consider staying here again."
"Very expensive room service for basic dinner plus £10 service charge .
Also basic continental breakfast. Limited choice - no ham and cheese ??
1970’s bedroom furniture. Nothing coordinated."
"Lovely old hotel with lots of character, extremely peaceful & with beautiful views. Staff great, friendly & knowledgeable. Tasty & plentiful breakfast cooked to order. Nice evening meal on the Friday night.
Booked a double room but we were upgraded to a gorgeous suite without our knowledge which was a fantastic surprise! Lovely Easter break & would definitely stay again."
"The room appeared tired with predominantly dull brown furniture though armchair seating in our upgraded room was comfortable. The bed seemed springy but in fact we both slept well. Best feature of the room was the bathroom which appeared to have been renovated recently with a roomy walk in shower. Carpeting and flooring throughout was worn and uneven. On arrival the reception and check-in process was ponderous and rather flat. Breakfast the following morning was sparse with few options. Saving grace was the cooked to order menu and made more enjoyable by the cheery and efficient service from Cara - how great to see such a confident and motivated young person."
"A home from home.
Mandy is a beautiful soul who goes out of her way for you.
Amazing breakfast, lots of choice.
Dogs made welcome too.
Thank you Mandy, hope to visit again soon."
