Patio door did not lock properly, literally the lock was broken and door would not lock. Communicated with property manager, that my party would check-out at 11:00 am. "I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occassions and highly recommend it for its proximity to the airport. However the Hotels site states "Enjoy seamless travel with a top-rated airport shuttle for easy transfers" and theb further down the site, "Airport transportation included". I was booked on the early flight on Kenya Airways and when I went to the desk for the shuttel was told that it does not run early morning. I had to arrange a Plan B."

"the hotel is quiet place and very clean, bedroom as done regularly and clean.breakfast is same thing everyday but tends to get busy during weekends. If you renting a car you might not get parking inside during week end unless its included in your hotel reservation fees. bathroom in comfort room was excellent just the screen on the bathroom doors need a retouch and also there need more modern Usb plug ins. small beach but blue bay beach is few feet away .Is just very nice location. "C-Mauritius is a great value for money 4-star hotel. Staff are going the extra mile to make you feel warmly welcome. The food variety and quality/taste are very nice as compared to some other 4 or even 5 star hotels on the island. Ms. Anastasia of the reception will make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is wonderful, provided that locals don't make their dogs become an issue on the beach. "

Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort – All Inclusive

"The welcome at Awali was excellent. The all inclusive starts when you arrive regardless of check-in time and it ends when you leave even if you checked out the room hours before. This worked quite well for us as our flight left at 9pm. The concierge is a gem who makes things so easy to do and has really good communication. The restaurants were fab. I did take heed of previous reviews and brought sea shoes which helped us enjoy the beach much more than we would otherwise. The beach is more for snorkelling and seeing wildlife than playing in the waves. The rooms are cleaned and checked multiple times per day. The Boma is a must experience. I also used the sunset on the golf course experience and it was as wonderful as you would expect. The staff go above and beyond and they are all super friendly. We used the spa and although a bit pricey offered fantastic massages and the use of the steam room. I definitely recommend. The only downside is that they need to increase the staff by the pool bar as it takes a long time to get orders in."
