The hotel was great. Wished the pool area was open even if it was to just use the lounge chairs. Also, in the pictures it looks like there is a deck to sit on by your room but there is not. Lots of great places to eat and shops to go to.

The room was very clean! Bathroom was spotless! Bed was very comfortable! Staff was accommodating! The view was perfect! Easy to get to the beach. A bit of a distance from restaurants. No microwave in the room. I was on the 3rd floor. No elevator. All water and ice machines are on the 1st floor. Those last 3 are my only real complaints. Not the end of the world! I will definitely be back!

This is a lovely hotel and I highly recommend it! There is no elevator so that may be a drawback to some but not for us. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. Who doesn’t love Pottery Barn towels! Staff is friendly and the location is unbeatable. If you’re looking for a unique amazing stay in Carolina Beach, be sure to stay at the Oceaneer.

A pleasant family-type hotel; reasonably priced and right on the beach. The rooms appear to have been renovated recently and far nicer than what you typically get in hotels of this type. There is no elevator and access to rooms is external. So you will need to request a room on the first floor if access is an issue.
