"We booked a cot"

"This was our “splurge” hotel for our trip. The guy at the front desk was not friendly. Other staff were friendly. The restaurant was closed on tuesdays for dinner. Really? You have this amazing resort and you close the restaurant?? We arrived early and planned to use some amenities while waiting on our room to be ready. Went to the spa to inquire. The doors were locked and there was a number on the door to text, so I did and never heard back. Overall, not happy with our stay. I wouldn’t spend the money at this hotel. Stay in Carmel and visit this place for lunch if you want to see it. "

"small but comfortable room and bed. wine theme was cute. reasonable price for an expensive area. it was clean and quiet. parking was a bit tricky but it worked. we arrived late and only stayed one night so didn't really get to see or use any of their amenities, but the room served its purpose and we would stay here if we're ever in the area again. (a complimentary bottle of cheap local wine would have been a nice touch)"

"The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent! Can’t wait to stay again. "

" improve: The breakfast was fine, but parking was limited and one evening due to lack of any spots I tried to park in a narrow single spot on far top covered area. there are these round cylindrical cement on the bases of the wall and my car could not pass through and caused damages to low part of my rare passenger side. I wish I could attach a picture for you to see. the Parking overall was very difficult and problematic. The breakfast was fine, but parking was very limited. One evening, because no spots were available, I attempted to park in a narrow space on the far upper level covered parking spots. There were round concrete cylinders at the base of the wall that weren’t clearly visible, and my car couldn’t pass through without hitting them. This caused damage to the lower rear passenger side of my vehicle. I wish I could share a photo to show exactly what happened. Overall, the parking situation was difficult and frustrating."

"What a gorgeous hotel for couples! Romantic setting, great ocean views for many rooms like ours with a large private balcony. We chose a King Bed, Ocean View room. There is a wonderful choice of breakfast items delivered to your doorstep at your specified time in the morning. This hotel has beautiful grounds with fountains, waterfalls fire pit and tropical plants. Our room had a gas fireplace which we used, just because. The decor and vibe were Asian inspired with a lovely Japanese table top, bamboo fountain in our room giving a lovely trickling water sound. Parking was free and there is a lot of vacant street parking too. Like most places in Carmel, there is heating, but no A/C which we actually missed as we were there during a heat spell. It did cool down at night and was not too bad, but it would have been nice to have the A/C in late afternoon. That is my only complaint"
