Lovely hotel that is very reasonable for the money. The room was spotless and high quality of cleaning. Nice breakfasts. My daughter loved the pool. Owner couldn’t have been more helpful with recommendations and general help. Only 20 min or less to franscoek and was nice to try some of the amazing restaurants in Paarl.

The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable and well lit. Nice little snack bar in the room as well. Beautiful, gated in property with a pool with a lot of flowers. Staff were very friendly and charming. Would stay again for sure.

The lodge is a fantastic place to stay. The host is helpful and kind, the beds are really comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the house dog is adorable. I would definitely stay again.

I had business to attend to early the morning so the obvious overnight place was Nuwerus. Comfortable, clean, well appointed, nice breakfast (With the fire burning ) friendly hosts, enough parking and quick to the N1. Its really a pleasure to book in, book out etc and if available we try not to stay anywhere else.

I travel quite a bit and stayed at different lodges and guest houses through the years. I must admit Nuwerus Lodge comes very close to the top of the list. Rooms fantastic, breakfast great, reception and friendliness great, easy and quick to get to N1, shopping facilities close-by, parking spot-on and a place well worth telling others about.

Jolanda and her team are great and very welcoming! The rooms are nicely appointed and feature a TV that allows you to stream your favorite shows, a small fridge, coffee station, nice bathroom with all the usual goodies you need, AC in the room, comfy bed, etc. In the morning they serve a delicious cooked breakfast. The location is set between the mountains near downtown Paarl (5-10 min), about 45 min from Cape Town airport. It's quiet, and the property appears to be quite safe. The main street of the town features lots of restaurants and typical small-town shops.

The location is semi-rural, extremely pleasant with numerous squirrels in the extensive grounds. However, one must be prepared to drive or walk for 40 minutes to encounter facilities such as bars or restaurants. TV Is via streaming, so if one is unprepared then there's no nightly entertainment. The staff were friendly and efficient; the food and service very acceptable.

Home from home accomodation.

Nuwerus was one of the "fortunate" yet "unfortunate" places in Paarl that was "hit" hard with the recent fires. It was so close to the main buildings that I can only descibe it as hair-raising. Yet although you can see the fire damage to the gardens etc the service was once again spot-on and the facilities as clean and well appointed as we are used to. The owners really does care about the customers as well as the property. Well done is all I can say. Already booked my next stay.

Home from home.

When you look at the entrance up amongst the trees then you wonder what type of stay this will be. Reason is a "lot" can be done with photos. But not here. Reception friendly and welcoming, pool inviting, trees with birds soothing and relaxing and then you get to your room. It has everything you require. Its clean, everything is working and the complimentary coffee tray fully loaded not just one coffee, 1 milk etc. Break fast tastefully prepared and served with all the fruits and breads you need. Parking ample and right at the reception.

My wife normally books my accomodation (Which is weekly). We look at pricing but also at comfort. I can assure everyone as you turn into the road leading to Nuwerus you can but only think to yourself: What lurks behind these trees? The answer. A Gem. From the reception, to the room, the garden, the little squirells, the size of the room, the attention to detail to the honesty bar and breakfast the next Morning was all "next level". I have already send my mail for next weeks accomodation. I found my "nest" from home.
