"First, there was a $250 deposit, which was more than expected for a 2 night stay. It was returned within 48 hours of checkout. The staff was nice. The room had cheap wicker furniture and beds were more like cots. The upstairs room we were in had a huge roof slant and had to duck to use the bathroom and sleep with my head towards the headboard to fit. It had a kitchen but had no pots, pans, plates, silverware, cookware, or anything useful to prepare meals. The location was great for dining, the...

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Virginia Beach (Oceanfront)
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay! Our room was clean, staff were very friendly. Great location. Great view of the ocean. The breakfast was pretty good. I would recommend any family to stay here."
"Location was excellent, had a concert at the dome that was an easy 8 minute walk away. The balcony looking over the ocean was lovely, and beach access is right there. The staff, Zoey in particular, were so friendly and kind and helped me figure out how to open the screen door. The building is quite old, and the AC was leaking all night and left the part of the floor closest to the sliding door soaking. I didn’t even have to mention it to the staff though, they knew it was a problem and let me know they are in the process of fixing it. It did not affect my experience though. Doors are also really loud and would shake my door. I thought someone was knocking every time someone closed their door. Again, old building."
"I loved the convenience and helpfulness of the team. It always smelled fresh and clean. Anything you need is right around there and so many fun activities to do. Thank you for having us"
"I've stayed in this hotel quite a few times and it's been a good experience. The only thing I have to complain about is that if you're 6 feet with not so good knees bring a grab bar along for the ride. The fireworks were awesome!! Hope to see you next year Hyatt House."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront Suites
10/10 Excellent
"Second year in a row visiting and the hotel is everything you should expect from a family-friendly resort environment. Despite being directly on the beach, the common areas stay clean and dry throughout the day and night. The staff is exceptionally courteous... they say hello, hold the elevator for you and say thank you when you reciprocate. Bar and restaurant are well maintained, but not exactly the party environment, though the new poolside daiquiri stand stayed busy. Both he rooms we experienced were spacious, however the ocean view balcony is the best part. We will be back next year."
"I stayed in room 712 and want to start by praising the staff. The service from the employees is excellent—a true 10 out of 10. In particular, the person working the front desk was doing an amazing job taking care of all the guests checking in at that peak time. However, management urgently needs to hire more staff. Leaving just one person at the front desk during check-in hours causes long wait times, and people understandably lose their patience.Similarly, the housekeeping staff are incredibly kind and always do their absolute best with a smile. The real problem is that the company leaves them short-staffed, which directly affects the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were not properly cleaned: the beds, mattresses, and sofa bed have severe stains (including urine stains), the TVs are dusty, the fridge is dirty, the towels are soiled, and the shower curtain has mold. The kitchen was the worst part, as it still had leftover food from previous guests. The sofa bed looks so worn out and dirty that it looks like it was pulled out of the trash. I do not blame the cleaning staff at all; I blame the company for not hiring enough people to maintain the property. We stayed here 3 years ago, and compared to this year, the hotel's condition has deteriorated drastically. If they do not invest in proper upkeep right away, this place will be completely run down in a few years. It is deeply disappointing because this hotel has.amazing potential to attract tourists."
