"This is rather rustic lodging and for the price of another local place we stayed, we felt it was expensive comparatively. Parking is a gravel lane walk to a garage downhill. Unfortunately for the owners (and guests), long-awaited construction was finally taking place due to spring rain. Obviously out of the control of the owner, it still was an inconvenience of which we knew nothing about ahead of time. Amenities are sparse. Make sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, etc....

"staying at Cascina Cortine was the best experience we had during our entire 3 week vacation in northern Italy. My husband and I highy recommend this B&B in Guarene, a special little town. Our hostess and host, Danila and Bruno were simply magnificent in every way. The accomodations were very comfortable and every detail was tended to by Danila. The B&B itself is lovely and the breakfasts were wonderful! We loved staying at Cortine! Danila was also extremely helpful with what to do and see...

The family hosts are unbelievably nice and make extra effort to make everything so comfortable (even on unrelated concerns like helping me problem solve a parking ticket from Lake Como and paying the Freeform Toll).
