"Hi This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. "This hotel is run by a lovely couple. If you are looking for an accommodation with family atmosphere, you don’t need to seek further. The breakfast is delicious. The hotel’s garden is full of wildlife, particularly birds, but also agutis and basilisks. I can highly recommend the accommodation. "

"Tolle Unterkunft mit kleinen Holzhäusern. Balkon mit traumhafter Aussicht. Ausstattung eher einfach und funktional. Anfahrt mit dem Auto ist - wie der gesamte Weg nach Drake Bay - etwas schwierig. Sehr hilfreiches und nettes Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück zu einem fairen Preis. Kurzer Weg zum Strand und zu den Ausflugsboten. Wir haben viele tolle Vögel direkt vom Balkon beobachten können."

"I was at the last cabana on the ridge. It had a kitchen in an attached room. It was great to bring back leftovers, make coffee and enjoy local fruit. There were 2 beds, a king and queen. The shower was walk in and everything worked well and was very clean. I ate at the table on the patio, enjoyed the hammock, and entertained by a multitude of birds, ant eater and ajouti. I would definitely come back."

"My sister and I loved our stay at this hotel! It’s just outside of town, has a pool overlooking the ocean, and AC in the rooms. The staff is amazing and very attentive! The bartender, Francisco, always made sure we had everything we needed and constantly tidied up around the pool. You have the option to pay additional to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. We chose to walk into town. They can also help you to call a taxi, but sometimes they aren’t available. We did a scuba diving tour through the hotel and it was very easy to walk down to the beach to get on the boat. This was the best diving I’ve ever done - seeing turtles, reef sharks, stingrays and beautiful fish! We also saw lots of wildlife right from our balcony. "

The Tranquilo Lodge - All meals included

"Our stay at Tranquilo Lodge was an absolute dream. Sebastien and Christophe are the most amazing hosts. Sebastien helped us plan out the best 4-5 day itenerary and was always around to help with anything we needed during our stay. The grounds are beautiful and maintained well and the view from the pool is absolutely stunning. The serving staff Cristina and Alex were so friendly and attentive. The Chef cooked up amazing lunches and lovely 3-4 course dinners. My wife and I look forward to coming back to Drake Bay to visit everyone at Tranquilo Lodge again in the future !"
