"Rui was an amazing host, very kind and helpful. The communication was clear and timely. The hotel was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The location was good for us as it allow us to walk to the Morrish castle, Palacio de Pena and Quinta de Regaleira. We loved having our breakfast in the patio while enjoying the view to the Morrish castle. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. The room was quiet, we choose a first floor room with a small patio. "

"If you like one of a kind exoeriences with 4* accommodations this is the place! We loved the drive into the mountains and then the surprise of arriving at a restored medieval shale village! Our apt, Maria, was perfect. It had an ultra modern interior, very comfy bed and barh, full kitchen, infinity
pool, and a gorgeous view. I wish that we could have stayed longer to hike the trails. And breakfast was excellent!"

Palace Turned Hotel
"Quinta das Lágrimas has such an important and interesting place in Portuguese history, which we enjoyed learning about during our stay. The old house and surrounding gardens are beautiful and romantic, even in the winter. Our room was in the spa wing, and it was large and comfortable, but the “Queen” bed was actually two twins pushed together (which is common in Europe), the shower flooded easily, and the bathroom door was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. As Canadians, we were also surprised to learn that we were not allowed to use the indoor pool without a swimming cap."
