"The hotel is very old, with modern amenities like bathroom and a/c. The front desk staff is very friendly. The Belvedere Suite was stunning- incredible views- but must be ok with lots of stairs. Parking is a distance away, so plan a backpack or light bag to walk to the hotel."
"The hotel is right in the edge of the historic old town, which makes it perfectly located - cars can only go into certain parts of the old town, so this hotel was easy to drive to and drop off at. There is also parking onsite if you’re lucky, and just up the road at the multi-storey carpark if you’re not. The old town is just across the road, and is a delight - large enough to get lost in its beautiful meandering ancient streets and small enough to get around easily and be able to get back to the hotel with no trouble. The hotel is spotless, modern and well appointed. The only disappointment was the size of the swimming pool, which is really small - more of a plunge pool - and therefore much smaller than it appears on the images. There is however a large sun deck nearby which is lovely. The breakfast was decent. Staff were very helpful. We’d stay again, and would recommend it."
"My husband and I wanted to visit Arles and explore Provence at the same time. We chose this hotel because it was out in the countryside. It is a very safe, secure and charming setting with fields or sunflowers and rice! where the noise of the birds, crickets and frogs are audible day and night.
The gardens are extensive and beautiful, very natural and relaxing…. Lovely nighttime strolls and daytime walks made it a feast for the senses, ancient and new seats everywhere to sit and absorb the ambience. The pool is well maintained and spacious with lots of seats and parasols if needed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with options for eggs if wanted. We were told to bring in our own food and drink if we wanted and utensils etc are provided onsite. Our room was spacious and very clean with a lovely new bathroom and shower en-suite.
Overall, it made me understand why Van Gogh painted so many of his paintings of Arles and the countryside around it. We will definitely be back. A charming authentic p k ace to stay. Would highly recommend."
"The hotel / room / bedding and property were clean. The staff were cheerful, polite and helpful. There was a bit of noise due to a group of chaperoned teenagers staying on the same floor... Loud talking / laughing / running in the hallway, door slamming, etc. The pool was open, and i was told that the restaurant was closed for meals other than breakfast."
