"I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dunes. I didn't realize it was so close to downtown/mid-town PS when I booked it, but I was pleasantly surprised by such a reasonably priced hotel at this location. 5 Stars for that alone. Very friendly staff. Then it was clean and quiet even with all the partying groups in town for the weekend.
I truly, truly appreciate them having charging devices in the outlets with both USB-C and USB-A. Kudos and flowers. Also, kudos for having a modern TV that allowed streaming apps. Bravo! Usually at this price point, you're lucky to get a working TV at all. Comfortable beds and good water pressure!
All in all, a 5-star stay, EXCEPT, I did make one complaint about the strong smell of weed that filled my room every day. I was surprised because it's a non-smoking hotel. They told me smoking was not allowed and that it was probably coming from the parking lot. It wasn't because when I went outside, I didn't smell it. It was coming through the vents. Just a warning to those who may be respiratorily compromised. If someone next to or under you chooses to smoke in their room, you may need to move. Hopefully, this was an outlier. Great stay otherwise."
