"We chose to stay at Eagle Crest primarily because my partner is an avid golfer. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing.
At check-in, neither front desk staff member appeared to be familiar with ADA requirements regarding service animals. I was told I would be charged a pet fee and placed in a pet-designated room, which is not appropriate for service animals. I asked them to clarify the policy and call me, but did not receive a response, though I assume they consulted with a manager. All hotel staff should be properly trained on service animal protocols to avoid situations like this.
The room itself was outdated and poorly maintained. The coffee table and headboard were visibly worn and tattered, the soap caddy in the shower was rusted, and there was a hole in one of the bathroom doors. The toilet seat was visibly worn and soiled, and the shower was not clean (there were pubic hairs on the floor.) The TVs were quite old, though cable was available.
Security and accessibility were also concerns. One of the middle entrances to our floor did not require a key card, and the card reader at the end of the building was not functioning. I noticed only one visible security camera on the property. One of the elevators was out of service, and the only way to reach the first floor was via stairs unless you walked to the far end of the building. This was manageable for me but would likely be very difficult for guests with mobility limitations.
When we attempted to"
"The room was clean and quiet. The fridge had a small freezer as well. There was also a microwave. There was plenty of drawer space. The bed was comfortable.
There were nice views and a trailhead on the property.
Easy drive to Smith Rock State Park.

"Lovely cabin! The cabins are quite new and modern. The beds were cozy, the huge sliding glass door to the private porch was wonderful. The morning sunshine was therapeutic! Cute touches with welcome candy jar and pour over “coffee maker”. We will come again!"
