Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns
Great stay, perfectly located. Not too close to the esplanade that the noise affects you at night, and not too far that you need a cab. Friendly staff, courteous and helpful with booking attraction tickets.

Cairns Sheridan Hotel
All very good for cheaper price accommodation near the airport. Only difficult situation is that the bathroom showers are situated in a bath tub making it difficult for elderly or impaired visitors.

The staff was super kind and helpful - they even let us check in early! We loved that they offered coffee packets, a microwave downstairs, laundry ($4 per load), and that it was in an ideal location (25 minute walk from the Lagoon).
