"Very convenient hotel for walking the Llanberis path. Great garden bar and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Staff very friendly and our room was pretty modern looking. Only slight negative is wobbly taps in the bathroom and it's a bit of a maze getting to the third floor. But would stay here again. 5 minutes walk to train up Mt Snowden and bus stop to other paths up the hill. Excellent example of a round tower behind the hotel and a scenic lake to have a swim in behind the bus stop."

"Location is great. Breakfast at the Black Boy Inn is very good. Will be better even if the window and walls can be sound proof. The pub cross the road gets busy sometimes. And there is sound of engine all day and night humming sound heard, esp in the room facing high street. "

"My partner and I recently had a wonderful stay at Victoria House. We were warmly greeted by Jan and she made us feel very welcome throughout. We also loved meeting her dogs, Oscar and Honey! The room was very comfortable and the house is in a great location. We used the regular local buses to visit nearby towns and to visit Snowdon. We had a great time in Caernarfon and if we visit again, we will certainly stay at Victoria House."

"We travelled with our adult son to hike in the nearby Eryri National Park. The owner greeted us upon arrival and very thoughtfully upgraded our rooms! Lola, the dog, was so friendly and extremely well behaved. The place is beautifully and freshly decorated. The two bedrooms we saw were unique, comfortable and well equipped. The evening after our hike we had a beer in the bar which was newly opened. Breakfast is a lovely - a continental buffet and choice of hot entrees including a half Welsh breakfast - a very welcome option. The setting is beautiful and lush, at the end of a small drive near the centre of the most picturesque village I've ever been to. We were delighted with our experience at Ty Afon and with the hospitality and charm of the owner and his staff."
