"A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. Will consider a revisit in warmer weather if we need a place to stay in the area in the future."

"D12 treetops at Clarach bay is a lovely setting. Family friendly and lovely staff. We had hot water and good recycling facilities. The site was perfect. However, some of our bedcovers had chocolate on them!!! We found spares to use instead. The green headboard on the main bedroom had a strong smell of unwashed hair ( it seriously needs to be replaced). We had no WiFi and on enquiring we were informed the previous guests had used it up? There were plenty cleaning materials and cooking facility...

"Location excellent. Grounds and gardens beautiful with plenty of wildlife. Cottage quaint but in need of modernisation. Kitchen basic but needs new drawers as couldn't open many. Not much surface space to prepare food on. No where to keep supplies purchased other than work surfaces and fridge. Shower was not great, needs to be attached to the wall. Could do with a proper electric one to be honest. Bathroom bin not emptied from previous occupier. No wifi and phone signal not great. Not always a...

"We as a family of 5 + a 3 yr old spent a delightful week at Penuwch Fach in July/August 2024. We were attending an interment and celebration of life nearby so the location was perfect. We were met by the owner and there was a welcome wine/biscuits plus tea and coffee. There is a Nespresso Gusto machine too plus a few pods :). "Nice b+b, very close to the sea in a side street, could see the sea from my room (partial sea view). My double room was really nice, very clean but no bathroom, which was communal, I didn't realise this until I entered my room. Didn't notice this in the description, obviously my error. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem though, but will definitely want my own for the next booking. Bed was comfortable, pillows bit lumpy but I did sleep really well. Internet very good indeed, breakfast menu great and food exceptional, and the gentleman taking breakfast orders was really nice, polite and friendly. Accommodation is next to the Castle and only a short walk to the main promenade and main shopping area's. Check-in was a bit different from the norm, no member of staff just folders on the desk with each person's name and room name with keys, quite straight forward so not an issue. Overall very happy with my one night stay, will definitely stay at the Gwesty Guest House again "

The Grannell

"Stayed 2 nights as we were dj ing at the Grannell saturday night which is 3 hours from home. Key code system on all doors which is easy to follow. Rooms were clean and have tv, tea coffee facilities, also lots of hanging space. Beds were comfy. This is a pub with a restaurant, we dined twice and the food was phenomenal, the sunday carvery was excellent. Good choice of drinks. The whole team and regulars made us feel welcome for the whole time we were there. The staff and management couldnt do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. The function room is really pretty. We will definitely be staying again when over there working next"
