Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. In the “Troutbeck” room there is a nasty trip hazard into the bathroom. A stubbed toe was annoying but a cracked skull would have been more so. Tip: if it’s not fixed ...

Lakeside Hotel & Spa
Lovely hotel room was very comfortable however the spa wasn’t very relaxing as it was full of screaming kids running and jumping in the pool
