The Shoreline Hotel

"It feels more like renting a room at a VRBO than a hotel. Very spacious. We loved the extra wide bathroom counter and the ledge in the shower to put our own bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles. The rug throughout the sleeping and sitting areas was both comfortable to walk on and sound absorbing. One thing that we wish were different: the blackout curtains do not go to the ceiling or completely to the walls. Light from daybreak streams in above and around the curtains and reflects off the ceiling and walls illuminating the room. Not sure how this could be addressed. I awoke at sunrise both mornings as I did not bring a sleeping or eye mask with me. Two other notes: The lowest temperature the mini refrigerator can be set to is 39º F or 4º C. Think of it as a drink cooler, not really a means of keeping groceries or takeout from spoiling. As others have noted, there is no microwave in the room."

"I could tell updates have been made on the interior and the room was fine. The exterior looks a little sketchy and the area was quite loud inside and outside. Some kind of continental breakfast would have been nice. Staff was very nice. When I initially got into my room, the windows had been left open and it was a 90° day and the room was 88°. It didn’t take long to cool down, but was kind of weird that the windows had been left open."
